Appreciative

I am appreciative that we are learning new technologies through our work setting, and able to take time to practice it. I really am enjoying this blogging thing, and especially am having fun reading other people's blogs. I am amazed by the creativitiy and varied interests. I just hope everyone will not just stick to comments about 2.0....BORING! Finally, I am very appreciative of comments on my blog regarding traveling. Already one comment left provided me with the great website twogypsies.com. It is a fascinating and helpful travel blog. The "two gypsies" just recently traveled in Southeast Asia, so my son was very excited to learn about their adventures and see their photos! Any other bloggers out there who have tips or fun/dreadful travel stories to tell? If so, leave me a comment....

Wistful Words from a Wanderer

Hello fellow "Wanderlusters!"

As I pondered the idea for the name of my blog, I decided it would be fun to share unusual or fantastic or humorous or even dreadful travel experiences! I love to travel and was bitten by the "bug" many years ago. I have had the opportunity to travel to and experience many parts of the world, but, alas, no global excursions in recent years. This is, of course, due to lack of funding (anyone willing to give me financial aid or a grant?). Much of my husband's and my income has been poured into the UW education of our 2 children, born in '85 and '89 respectively.(Hence, the name of my blog.) Anyway, I would love to vicariously experience your travel stories since I cannot forsee any global expeditions in my near future. Also, my son and his girlfriend will be traveling for 4-6 months beginning this fall in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and the northeast corner (Cairns and thereabouts) of Australia. So, if anyone has any tips or suggestions as to where to go, things to avoid, etc., he would appreciate it!
